For over 30 years, we have been a part of Hackney's vibrant streets, serving our community with warmth, tradition, and dedication. Our journey began in 1995 when we opened our first small Turkish restaurant in Hackney. For nearly a decade, we welcomed guests with the flavours of home, creating a space where families, friends, and neighbour's could gather around the table.

In 2003, we embarked on a new chapter, opening TAD Restaurant, where we continued to share our love for Turkish cuisine. For 17 years, TAD became a beloved part of the community, a place where generations dined and memories were made. But in 2020, life took an unexpected turn, and we had to close our doors.

For four years, we adapted, turning a small storage space into a humble gozleme shop, keeping our passion for food alive in whatever way we could. It was a challenging time, but as the darkest nights give way to the sunrise, a new opportunity emerged. In 2024, like the sun rising after a long night, we found our place once again.

Today, we welcome you to Sun Kitchen a new beginning, but with the same heart and soul that has defined us for decades. We are still TAD Restaurant at our core, but under a new name, inspired by the resilience of the sun, the warmth of hospitality, and the love we pour into every dish.

This is more than just a restaurant; it's a family legacy passed from generations, built on the belief that no matter how long the night, the sun always rises. And now, our doors are open once more to old friends, new guests, and to the next chapter of our story.
